Read autobiography
Hello, I’m Adam Chung. I have almost three years of experience developing enterprise systems. My main focus is backend development with Java and Spring. I also have experience with Angular and system integration. I have worked mainly on logistics systems, process automation, and system design for a new product.
My background is in industrial management. When I worked on digital business processes, I became interested in software development. I especially liked turning manual work into automated systems. So I completed Java training and became a software engineer.
In my previous job, I worked in the Logistics Systems Services Department. I developed and maintained a logistics service platform. One of my main results was a shared email-processing system. It supported several customers and saved about 500 hours of manual work each year. I also worked on SQL performance and full-stack features for other logistics services.
Later, I joined a new team that was building a commercial product from the beginning. I was responsible for several shared parts of the system. These included identity and access management, an EDI system for external data, an event system, and an interactive notification center.
These designs helped us meet different customer needs and made it easier to add new features. I also used AI tools for development, problem analysis, and code review. This helped me work faster and improve quality.
I believe I have three main strengths.
First, I am willing to take on challenges. I did internships in China and Vietnam. I changed my career to software engineering because it was what I really wanted to do. After leaving my previous job, I went to the Philippines to improve my English. These choices show that I am willing to work on my weak areas and leave my comfort zone.
Second, I learn technology quickly. Before changing careers, I studied the course materials by myself. During the training, I was a team leader and learned how to work with others. After becoming a software engineer, I kept learning. After more than one year, I became responsible for the design and development of a new system. After more than two years, I was promoted to Senior Engineer.
Third, I communicate and work well with others. As a student, I led several large activities. About one year after joining my previous company, I became the main contact for customers and other departments. I helped clarify business needs and turn user needs into system features.
In the future, I want to keep improving my backend development and system design skills, especially for reliable and scalable enterprise systems. I also want to bring my experience in understanding requirements, system integration, and working with other teams. I hope to work on more challenging products and gain more experience working with international teams.
